Misreading a dog’s signals can lead to fear, shutdown, or even a bite. This section will help you:
- Read canine calming signals
- Understand when a dog is overwhelmed, frightened or unhappy
- Meta communication in dogs
- Learn how to change your communication to help a dog understand you better
- How to use emotion based training to teach a dog to respond to you better.
Behaviour Issues You Might Encounter
Many dogs come to you with pre-existing behaviour issues or develop them during boarding. Learn how to manage:
- Food guarding, resource guarding
- Separation-related behaviours
